The Art of Nurturing
Our Vines
Sustainability at the Core
Low-Intervention Practices: We use only natural herbicides and avoid synthetic chemicals whenever possible.
Hand Harvesting: Grapes are carefully picked by hand at peak ripeness to preserve their quality.
Soil Health: Natural compost and minimal tilling are used to protect the integrity of the soil.
The Role of Climate
The continental climate of Gümüşhacıköy is crucial to the quality of our grapes.
Hot, dry summers with day-night temperature differences of up to 20°C (e.g., 30–34°C by day and 8–10°C by night) enhance acidity and aromatic intensity.
Winters bring cold, snowy conditions that naturally balance the vines’ growth cycle.
Spring Frost: To protect against late frosts, especially in lower-altitude plots, we carefully monitor and adapt pruning and canopy management techniques.
Controlled Yield:
We limit the number of grape clusters per vine to concentrate flavors and nutrients.
Training Systems:
From goblet pruning for heritage vines to modern trellis systems for structured growth, every method is chosen to suit the grape and its environment.
